VSU Medialab

Vanadzor State University has a Media Center, which was created within the framework of the Erasmus+ CONNECT project. The center is designed to provide students and lecturers with access to multimedia resources and modern technologies.

The Media Center consists of two areas: Smart Café (62 seats, 234 square meters), where conferences and presentations are held, and Medialab (5 seats, 30 square meters), where media content creation is carried out.

The center can organize video conferences, webinars and online courses, as well as record and edit audio and video materials. It allows you to create high-quality educational videos, lectures, podcasts and content for social platforms.

Medialab has become a platform for young researchers and lecturers, promoting innovative educational initiatives. The Media Center also contributes to the university’s digital presence, presenting VSU on the website and social platforms.

The development of the center is ongoing. Within the framework of the Erasmus+ MEDIA program, old equipment was replaced with the latest technology, ensuring the effectiveness of high-quality distance learning at the university.

The VSU Media Center is intended to become an important component of the university’s distance education, combining real and virtual learning environments.

BSU “MediaLab” and the Center for Online and Offline Learning

On April 3, Brusov State University celebrated the official opening of the “MediaLab” educational-production laboratory and the Center for Online and Offline Learning. These state-of-the-art facilities have been established with the financial support from the European Union, within the framework of the Erasmus+ project “Strengthening the quality of online education in HEIs in Moldova and Armenia” (MEDIA).

The initiative seeks to advance the development and accessibility of high-quality online education.

With the launch of these infrastructures, BSU is introducing four micro-credential courses designed to meet current demands in both education and the labor market. The courses are open not only to university students and staff but also to the general public interested in enhancing their media and digital knowledge and skills. The following short online courses have been introduced and piloted:

  1. Modern Storytelling in Media

  2. Digital tools in Content Creation

  3. Photography

  4. Video storytelling

With this important step, Brusov State University reaffirms its commitment to educational innovation and its mission to create lifelong learning opportunities.

Following the launch of the “MediaLab” and the Center for Online and Offline Learning at Brusov State University, several media outlets highlighted this significant educational milestone (see below). The press coverage focused on the university’s commitment to innovative learning and its collaboration with international partners to enhance the quality and accessibility of education in Armenia.

NPUA MEDIA HUB

The Media Hub at NPUA was established as a central unit to support the development and delivery of online micro credential programs. Its primary objective is to ensure the high-quality production of asynchronous and synchronous online courses through the use of advanced technological resources. The Hub oversees the entire course lifecycle, including recording, editing, archiving, maintaining, and publishing, to guarantee an effective and accessible learning experience.

It manages a dedicated electronic platform tailored for micro credentials, ensuring its continuous functionality and user-friendliness. In coordination with NPUA’s Lifelong Education and Career Centers, the Hub facilitates engagement with partner organizations to expand the reach and impact of lifelong learning initiatives. It also plays a key role in training faculty members and providing technical support throughout the course development process.

The Hub consistently monitors the quality and effectiveness of the courses offered, using modern tools to collect and incorporate student feedback for continuous improvement. It stands as a cornerstone in the university’s strategy to enhance digital education infrastructure and promote flexible learning opportunities. The current facilities, as shown in the attached photographs, house the operations of the Media Hub, where all recordings and course preparations are currently conducted. However, considering the university-wide renovation process, the Media Hub may be relocated to a more strategically suited facility in the future, based on its functional and technological requirements.

UTM MEDIA-Lab

The Media Lab at the Technical University of Moldova (UTM), inaugurated on the Botanica campus, is envisioned as a center of excellence for digital integration in education. It provides a modern space where teaching and learning are supported by state-of-the-art equipment. The lab is equipped with advanced technologies such as LED panels, softboxes, light domes, professional video cameras, broadcasting tools, teleprompters, chroma key screens, and shotgun microphones. These resources enable the creation of interactive teaching materials and professional-quality video productions. By doing so, the Media Lab supports the incorporation of digital media into the study process at UTM.

Faculty members and students alike will benefit from engaging and interactive educational programs in the field of Digital Media. The lab aims to develop students’ creative and technical skills, preparing them to design innovative educational content. Moreover, it will support teachers in adopting modern teaching practices through the use of digital tools. A key element of the project is the introduction of a multidisciplinary, non-formal Digital Media program that is expected to receive accreditation. This program will further enhance students’ digital competences and practical experience.

Through the Media Lab, UTM strengthens its position as a forward-looking university committed to modernizing education. The initiative contributes not only to improving the quality of education but also to increasing the university’s international visibility in the field of digital learning. It represents a significant step toward aligning education with current technological advancements and global standards.
