MEDIA CENTRE MSU

MEDIA CENTER is an innovative and multifaceted media space that provides unique opportunities for the implementation of various projects related to video production, audio recording, creative activities and business activities. With a unique combination of technical resources and a comfortable space for interaction and communication, the media center becomes an ideal place for the realization of creative and business initiatives. MSU media space currently consists of 5 rooms:

• hall – 67.2 sq.m.
• conference room 130.9 sq.m.
• “Senate” – 58.1 sq.m.
• classroom – 54.5 sq.m.
• media library – 88.6 sq.m.

1 CONFERENCE ROOM (Sala festivități) The room meets the requirements for presentations and conferences. It can be used for meetings, group viewing of online courses, presentations of various projects, etc. General characteristics:

• the room is quite spacious (110 seats);
• good natural and artificial lighting;
• air conditioning and/or heating system.

Furniture arrangement: The arrangement of furniture and equipment as a whole corresponds to the functional purpose of the room.

2 HALL “SENATE” ( Sala Senat) It is intended for holding general meetings of the teaching staff of the faculty / department, defending scientific works, presenting curricula, reports, etc. General characteristics:

• the room is quite spacious (20-30 seats);
• good natural and artificial lighting;
• air conditioning and/or heating system.

3 TRAINING CLASS ( Sala de curs) It is intended for conducting educational process. It can also be used for group viewing of online courses, presentations of various projects, etc. General characteristics:

• air conditioning and/or heating system.

MEDIA SPACE ROOMS MSU – REFURBISHMENT PROJECT MSU Media Center should become an advanced environment that will be convenient for planning, developing, editing and processing any type of educational content. The MSU media center must be flexible and adapt to different formats and requirements when creating educational content. Considering the existing material base, solutions are offered for the modernization and re-equipment of the MSU media center . The new concept of room interaction will look like this: The library is supposed to have a networking zone , where ideas for a future product will be discussed, a concept will be created. The group then moves into one of three zones, depending on the need: – zone for photo/video shooting ( live streams); – zone for recording interviews, podcasts; – an area for editing ready-made content. The result should be a media product that can be: – reviewed by the working group before launch in the Biblioteca ( there is a projector to see how the product looks like in a large format); – demonstrated in the classroom (offline) in the Sala de curs; – presented at a meeting within the framework of a round table in Sala Senat; – presented to a wide audience as part of a conference or any other event format ( Sala festivitati). The space should be functional and well-equipped to provide a comfortable and productive creative process. Format of filming in the room:

Zoning of the premises This room can be transformed for various tasks depending on the project being implemented. The room includes 3 zones/locations: – zone for photo/video shooting ( live streams); – zone for recording interviews, podcasts; – an area for editing ready-made content. Characteristics of the zones of the room 1) Zone for photo/video shooting ( live streams) General characteristics of the zone: Specially equipped space with ideal lighting and background for professional photo and video filming.  2) Zone for recording interviews, podcasts General characteristics of the zone: A cozy and soundproof space with professional equipment for quality audio and video interviews and podcasts. It is necessary to ensure the process of audio recording.  3) Zone for editing finished content General characteristics of the zone: a special place with high-performance computers and software for professional editing of finished content. The zone should include 4 workstations equipped with a PC to be able to process various content and transfer it to the appropriate resources.  MSU Media Center Specialists Positions: – photographer; – videographer; – content editor.  Responsibilities: – consultations on the development of the concept of the project; – assistance in the implementation of creative ideas; – training to work with equipment; – installation and maintenance of equipment; – adaptation of the existing set of equipment for projects, ideas, orientation of the university ( additional purchase of new equipment, components – lenses, microphones, backgrounds, etc.); – processing and installation; – audio, photo and video shooting.
